AB(e)DUCTED! The Honest Abe Art Show

THE BACKGROUND:
In December, a heinous act of art theft struck Cole’s Bar and robbed it of its prized Velvet Lincoln painting. Cut out of its frame, all that was left was an empty shell as a reminder of the lack of respect that made it’s way into Cole’s.

THE PEOPLE’S RESPONSE:
To right this wrong, artists and the community flooded Cole’s with newly created replacement Abe’s!

Features Abe-inspired Art@Cole’s exhibit by local artists and display of actual Abe artifacts.

Opening PARTY, Sun March 25, 8pm-11pm: Festivities included exhibit and artifacts, live historic interpretation, and Abe-centric tunes by Foz the Hook. Beards and top hats encouraged at this all-Abe event as we search for a suitable substitute and judge the Best-in-Show. Snacks provided by Chicken Run.

Fugscreens Studios  |  Founded by Zissou Tasseff-Elenkoff, Fugscreens Studios is an independent silk screen studio based in the heart of Wicker Park. Established in 2008, Fugscreens prints gigposters and fine art prints priding itself on working with local bands and artists and creating strong relationships with its clients. “Keeping the work fun and exciting is our goal.”
