Zelene Jiang is a visual artist with a global perspective. She moved to Chicago from Beijing seven years ago, and her art mingles Western and Eastern elements. Some of those include Chinese calligraphy and a special fondness for contemporary classical music. NUE Magazine featured and published Zelene’s work and essay in its Fall 2015 edition. In a preview of that edition, the magazine commented that Zelene “uses line to express multitudes in her complex mixed media paintings.” Zelene’s work “Hint” was featured in Studio Visit Magazine volume 31, jurored by Mary M. Tinti, Curator at The Fitchburg Art Museum in Massachusetts.
Zelene has participated in multiple group shows, and held a solo exhibition at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012. She was also the solo featured visual artist in CHICAGO: An Artist Celebration (2015), curated by the Chicago Arts Orchestra. Contact the artist: zelenejiangusa@gmail.com or visit zelenejiang.com
